Detox Drink

Add 1.5 spoons of  lemon juice to water soaked overnight & Drink it in the morning or Add 2 spoons of lemon juice  Boil it with water and take it first thing in the morning.

BREAKFAST

Kodo millet upma:

Ingredients: Kodo millet grain – 1 cup, chopped onions, green chillies, carrot, beans, potato ginger, mustard seeds, black gram dal, bengal gram dal, curry leaves, water and oil – as required.

 Wash kodo millet two or three times, then drain the water completely and keep it aside.  Chop onions, green chillies and veggies finely. Grate the ginger.  Heat the oil in a pressure cooker, add mustard seeds when it splutters, add black gram dal, chana dal, curry leaves and green chillies. When dal turns golden brown add onions, ginger, turmeric, saute them.  Add carrots, beans, and potato saute for 2 to 3 minutes. Then add kodo millet, saute for1 minute, till everything combines. Then add water and salt. When water starts boiling close the lid, and cook in moderate flame for 3 whistles. When pressure subsides, open the lid and serve.

Bitter gourd curry:

Ingredients: 3 bitter gourd, 3 teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoon refined oil, 3 teaspoon red chilli powder, 1 teaspoon turmeric.

In a pan add water on a medium flame and allow the water to boil. While the water is boiling add 1 teaspoon chili powder and 1 teaspoon salt. Stir and let the salt dissolve. Chop bitter gourd into equal pieces and put the pieces in the boiled water. Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, uncover the lid and drain the water so as to reduce the bitter taste of bitter gourds. Now take the mixture of remaining chili powder and salt and turmeric powder. Take a pan, heat oil. In the pan, shallow fry bitter gourd pieces until the pieces turn brownish from both the sides. Now remove the pan from the heat and take out the gourd pieces. Serve it.

SNACKS

Lemonade:

Ingredients: 1 lemon, 1 pinch salt, 1 pinch black pepper, 1 pinch cumin seeds, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 pinch black salt, 6 mint leaves, 2 cup chilled water

Squeeze one lemon juice in a glass or bowl or bottle. Then, add honey, salt, black salt, black pepper, roasted and crushed cumin seeds, and freshly crushed mint leaves. Stir well. Now, add chilled water in the bottle/ glass and stir well using a spoon. Serve it.

DINNER

meal maker curry:

Ingredients: 1 cup soya chunks, 1 onion, 1 capsicum, 1 teaspoon garlic paste, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, 1/2 teaspoon dry mango powder, 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, salt as required, 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder, 1/2 cup yoghurt (curd), 2 tomato, 1 teaspoon ginger paste, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon red chilli powder, 1 teaspoon kasoori methi powder, 1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves, 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds.

Soak soya chunks for 30 minutes. Now add them to a pan and add water to it. Boil the chunks for 10-12 minutes. Now drain the water and wash chunks with cold water. Squeeze the soya chunks and keep them in a bowl. Now add curd in a bowl. Add the turmeric, coriander powder, red chilli powder, amchur, kasoori methi, salt, ginger and garlic paste. Mix them well to form a thick mixture. Now add soya chunks to this mixture and mix well. The soya chunks should be properly coated. Put oil in a pan, add cumin seeds. Now add onions and saute them for a few minutes. Add chopped tomatoes and let them cook for 4-5 minutes by covering the pan with a lid. Now add chopped capsicum and marinated chunks. Mix well and cook on medium-high heat for another 6-8 minutes. Add garam masala and mix. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
