Detox Drink

Add 1.5 spoons of  lemon juice to water soaked overnight & Drink it in the morning or Add 2 spoons of lemon juice  Boil it with water and take it first thing in the morning.

BREAKFAST

Ragi Pancake:

Ingredients: 1/2 Cup Ragi Flour, 1/2 Cup Whole Wheat Flour, 1 Tsp Baking Powder, 1 Whisked Egg, Pinch of Salt.

Mix the both the flours and the baking powder together in one large mixing bowl. Add a pinch of salt. Add the whisked egg and mix all the ingredients together. Gradually add water and mix till a dropping consistency is achieved. The batter should not be too thick or too watery. To make the pancakes, heat a pan and grease it with very little oil. On medium heat, pour a ladleful of the batter to the pan. Do not the spread the batter and allow it to spread out on its own. Cook on medium heat. Once the top side gets steamed and cooks, flip the pancake and cook on the other side. Remove from heat and spoon generous amounts of the cream cheese to your pancake, top it off with a green olive or sliced jalapeno and serve.

Frech beans curry:

Ingredients: 1 1/2 cup chopped bean green, 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1 pinch salt, 1 medium finely chopped green chilli, 1 teaspoon virgin olive oil, 1/4 cup water, 1 medium finely chopped onion, 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder, 1/4 teaspoon dry mango powder, 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder, 1/4 teaspoon powdered turmeric

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Add onions. Saute the onions till golden brown in colour. Now add turmeric powder, green chillies, dry mango powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder. Stir the ingredients for few seconds and then immediately add washed beans. Season the beans with salt. Next, add water and cover the lid for 10-15 minutes.

SNACKS

Fruit salad:

Ingredients: ½ cup walnuts, ½ cup strawberry, ¼ teaspoon cinnamon, ½  table spoon vanilla yogurt, 1 cup apple, ½ cup banana, ½ cup kiwi

Chop the walnuts. Then peel the apples and bananas and cut the apples, strawberries, kiwis and bananas. Take a bowl and add walnuts, vanilla yoghurt, apples, banana, strawberries, kiwis and stir the mixture properly. Now sprinkle cinnamon on the mixture and refrigerate the salad to serve chilled.

 

DINNER

Kodo millet methi rice:

Ingredients: Kodo millet – 1 cup, water – 3 cups, chopped methi leaves – 2 cups, chopped onions – 1/2 cup, chopped tomatoes – 1/2 cup, ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp, green chillies – 3, curry leaves – 8, salt – to taste; whole spices: bay leaf – 1 and clove – 2

 Wash kodo millet rice and keep it aside. Chop all vegetables and keep it ready. Wash the methi leaves and chop the methi leaves. Heat a teaspoon of oil in a pressure cooker. Add the whole spices and fry for a few minutes. Add curry leaves, chopped onions and fry till translucent. Add green chillies and ginger garlic paste and fry for a few minutes. Add 3 cups of water and when water comes to a boil, add kodo millet rice, chopped methi leaves and cook till 1 whistle in medium flame.
